Are Japanese Emoticons weird? The list of Kaomoji (^-^)

Image of Japanese OtakuHello! This is Mishi! I have posted Study Japanese parts in a row much, that made me so worn out! I have started making this website to share with people who are interested in Japanese culture, on top of that, this is my first website I have ever built, it is so difficult to learn the rules of making a website! I have researched how to build a website and researched Japanese things, and what I want to post for everyday! My eyes are in so much pain lol.

When I go to the Japanese store around my place, I always buy Japanese eye drops which make my eyes feel so good, especially when I keep them in the fridge! I am using that eye drops to write this page now lol.

Today, what I want to show you is different things from Japan. That is Kaomoji. Do you know Kaomoji? I have used Kaomoji on every post I have made! Did you notice them?? If so, I’m happy now. ( ^-^)∠※. With Kaomoji, I can express words better than without it, especially when my poor brain doesn’t let me write clever things. I wished I could explain or write better lol. Okay, I’m off track again, let’s go back to today’s topic.

As I was saying Kaomoji has been on the internet since 1986 in Japan. Somebody used this(^-^) with a nickname to post comments. That was the start in Japan, Emoji got popular on cell phones in Japan and became worldwide popularity too. You know it came from Japan right?

E(え/絵) means picture in Japanese.

Moji(もじ/文字) means word in Japanese.

Probably, there are many people who use that word without knowing Japanese. ( ̄▼ ̄*) well if you didn’t know that, now you have learned. ヽ(〃’▽’〃)ノ

If you already knew you can call yourself an otaku. You know what Japanese otaku is too? In the internet world in Japan, there are many websites that otaku people get together and talk. In Japan, this website 2 channeru(2ch) is the place to be for Japanese otaku people! The reason why is because they can talk about their hobbies or their favorite things, of course, anime too. There are many discussion that otaku people make on that website, it has become so hot for everything and for everybody! On that website, mostly everybody uses the Kaomoji icons! This has gotten very popular, and popular in Japan. Now it is known for mostly everybody in Japan! ( ^∀^)

Have you seen this before????

キタ━━━━ヽ(゚∀゚ )ノ━━━━!!!!

This is very well known among Japanese people. This Kaomoji means “Here I/You/He/She/They/It come(s) If you have already watched Japanese drama or movie, it is called “Densha Otoko(Train Man)“, you know this Kaomoji already! Do you know Nikoniko Doga website? This website is like a Youtube, a Japanese company owns that website. People can post videos and put comments on their video. It is so funny if you watch them, sometimes you can’t even watch the videos because there are so many comments on the video while playing! There are many people who say this on the video when something comes up or happens! You should check it out!

Bye the way,

Kao(かお/顔) means Face in Japanese.

Moji(もじ/文字) means word in Japanese.

There are so many cute and funny Kaomoji in Japan. That is why today I want to introduce some of them to you! In advance, sorry it will be a long page to scroll down. But check them out!
